Hurricane A/C, Heat & Defrost System for 1960-1963 Chevrolet and GMC Trucks, Fits Original Dash Opening
Custom Mounting Plate attaches the Hurricane Unit to the firewall using existing holes in firewall. A/C & Heater fittings pass through the original square blower motor inlet hole with a custom rubber grommet. This unit retains a majority of the glove box and leaves valuable space in the dash for a radio, CD player, gauges, amplifiers, etc..
Control package includes new electronic slide control that fits into the original dash opening. Infinitely variable high-torque servo motors offer complete control of defrost and heater valve functions.
Complete system includes a Condenser assembly with receiver/drier, custom aluminum lines and mounting brackets. Assembly attaches to core support using original fan shroud mounting locations, custom tubes route through passenger side of core support and under the battery tray.
Compressor bracket is included for most chevrolet engines, please provide: Engine year, block size/type, water pump length and belt type used so we can provide the appropriate bracket for your engine. Matching alternator & power steering brackets are available.
